A PRACTICAL CAMPAIGN GUIDE

Review creative versions without losing the decision

A useful review answers two questions: is this work suitable, and exactly which version did we decide on? Keep the decision attached to the creative rather than to a message saying “looks good”.

Make the version inspectable.

Give the draft a clear title and preserve its source references, prompt and production notes. For a carousel, retain slide order. For video, inspect the actual duration, opening frame, captions and audio. A still preview cannot establish that the full file is correct.

Use a short review checklist.

Check the product facts, rights to source material, readability, audience, caption and destination. Keep aesthetic preference separate from factual corrections. “Make this stronger” is less useful than “show the product action before the decorative opening”.

Freeze what a reviewer sees.

Share a checkpoint of the draft. Continue private editing if needed, but do not replace the material behind an earlier approval. A person who reviewed yesterday’s caption has not approved today’s rewrite.

Treat each destination as a new decision.

The same asset may need a different crop, title or caption across channels. Review the prepared destination version, including account and settings. A creative approval should not silently approve every later channel variant.

Learn without rewriting history.

Retain revision reasons and the earlier draft. Connect any later observation to the delivered version. Reusing a recipe preserves useful context; it does not transfer approval, media rights or performance evidence to the adaptation.

A worked example.

Fictional example: version A leads with a product screenshot; version B leads with a founder statement. The reviewer chooses A because the screenshot supports the promise. A later caption edit creates version C and needs a fresh decision. The example demonstrates a review method, not a measured campaign result.

A starting instruction for your AI.

Review this exact draft for factual support, audience clarity, readability, media order and destination fit. List factual blockers separately from creative suggestions. State the version you reviewed. Do not approve, schedule or publish on my behalf.

Adapt this to your own verified facts. It does not grant tool access, approve a draft or enable publication.
