SCENE vs Later
Later is relevant to visual social teams that need a planning and scheduling workflow. SCENE is a preview option for keeping the campaign brief and production context connected to creative versions and review.

Is your bottleneck visual planning or the handoff from production to review?
Your next campaign includes a product image, an educational carousel and a short video. The calendar is useful only after the team agrees on the message, source references and final files. Start the evaluation at the point where your work actually gets stuck.
Later lists visual planning, scheduling, AI caption support and analytics. Growth includes collaboration and approvals; Scale adds reporting and monitoring features. Vendor features and plans
Compare the work you need to do.
| Decision | Later | SCENE private beta |
|---|---|---|
| Primary job | Plan and coordinate a visually led social calendar. | Prepare a campaign with its brief, creative sources, versions and review decisions together. |
| AI connection | Check current host support and permissions in the vendor documentation; availability differs by product. | Workspace-scoped draft workflow. Official ChatGPT/Claude installation is in preparation and has not passed actual-host acceptance. |
| Approval | Confirm the required plan, roles and approval behaviour before buying. | A person reviews the exact creative and destination. New versions need new decisions. |
| Availability | Check the vendor’s current plans and channel/format limits. | Free, invite-only private beta. Publishing, billing and community contributions remain gated. |
Pricing and the cost of a switch.
The newer pricing page lists annual-billing monthly equivalents: Starter US$18.75, Growth US$37.50 and Scale US$82.50. Taxes and extra sets/users are additional. Check the live pricing source.
SCENE currently offers a free private beta with no card or automatic paid upgrade. Future paid pricing is not announced. A free beta is not a like-for-like replacement for an established subscription: include the time needed to recreate briefs, verify rights, review files and qualify each required channel.
SCENE does not promise an automatic Later migration. Bring a small, permitted sample manually first. Preserve original files and identifiers in the existing system, and inspect what transfers before moving any important workflow.
A useful evaluation.
Bring one image, an ordered carousel and one video to review. Check order, crop, caption and source references separately. Confirm each actual destination and format before trusting a scheduling promise.
- Start with one real product fact, one audience and one campaign objective.
- Create a private draft and inspect its saved record after reopening it.
- Ask a person to review the exact version and record a clear decision.
- Check required publishing and results separately in an accepted tool. A saved draft is not a delivery receipt.
